Deborah Donovan Rice is Executive Director of Stop It Now! It was founded in 1992 by Fran Henry, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, who recognized that standard ideas about preventing sexual abuse of children weren\'t working. Stop It Now! believes that all adults must accept the responsibility to recognize, acknowledge and confront the behaviors that lead to the sexual abuse of children. We offer adults tools they can use to prevent sexual abuse - before there\'s a victim to heal or an offender to punish. In collaboration with our network of community-based Stop It Now! programs, we reach out to adults who are concerned about their own or others\' sexualized behavior toward children. For more than 10 years, our national toll-free Helpline (1.888.PREVENT) has provided thousands of adults a unique outlet to confidentially voice their concerns. We provide support, information and resources that enable individuals and families to keep children safe and to create healthier communities.

Steve LePore

Steve LePore is the founder, Executive Director of 1in6, whose mission is to help men who have had unwanted or abusive sexual experiences in childhood live healthier, happier lives. The number of men who have had experiences that can be defined as childhood sexual abuse is conservatively estimated at one in six. Research indicates that most men who have had such experiences don\'t begin to deal with the negative effects until they are in their late 30s, 40s or 50s* - a fact unacceptable to those of us leading the efforts of 1in6. In the hope that men negatively affected by such experiences will start their recovery processes sooner, our outreach and programs will primarily focus on men between the ages of 18 and 30. However, our online resources and referral services are available to men of all ages, and no one seeking assistance will be turned away.

Nathaniel T. Winston, Jr

Dr. Nathaniel T. Winston, Jr. was born in the mountains of East Tennessee serving as the first psychiatrist in that mountainous country. He received his training at the prestigious Vanderbilt University and has been in practice for fifty-one years. In 1961, he was credited with opening a new 150-bed psychiatric hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. In 1991, he built a facility to house teenage sexual perpetrators, all of whom had been victims of childhood molestation. He has also served as Commissioner of Mental Health for the State of Tennessee under two governors and is considered an authority in the treatment of childhood sexual molestation.
