The PERSPECTIVE will come from both the grassroots (Scotty Reid) to the nations largest think tank (Chris Preble w/The Cato Institute).

Christopher Preble

Christopher A. Preble, Ph.D is the director of foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute. Before joining Cato in February 2003, he taught history at St. Cloud State University and Temple University. Preble was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy and is a veteran of the Gulf War, having served onboard USS Ticonderoga (CG-47) from 1990 to 1993. He is the author of Exiting Iraq: Why the U.S. Must End the Military Occupation and Renew the War against Al Qaeda, which examines U.S. strategic interests in Iraq, and John F. Kennedy and the Missile Gap, a book discussing the political and economic roots of national security strategy in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Preble\'s work has been published in major publications including USA Today, the Financial Times, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Orange County Register, the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Washington Times, the New Republic, Reason, Political Science Quarterly, the National Interest, and the Harvard International Review. He has also appeared on many television and radio news networks including CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News Channel, NPR, Voice of America, and the BBC. Preble holds a Ph.D. in history from Temple University.

Scotty Reid

Scotty Reid is the Founder and CEO of the Black Talk Media Project, and a former Communications Specialist for the United States Army during the Gulf War. Troubled by the lack of media ownership by minorities in the United States, Scotty personally set out to inform others about new media available over the internet. Including information about the tools and platforms out there, the goal was to create, and distribute independent media on the world wide web. After starting a group using other social networking website\'s, Scotty later launched his on network called Black Talk Radiorunning on the \"ning\" platform. His next target was to develop the Non Profit Media Corporation we now know as the Black Talk Media Project. The core mission of the Black Talk Media Project is to work in partnership with affiliates to inform and educate the public. To accomplish this mission, the Black Talk Media Project seeks to create, acquire, and distribute media that is family friendly, and meets moral and ethical standards in the areas of citizen journalism and cultural expression. The programming is meant to be representative of its members, listeners, and viewers. The Black Talk Media Project strives to become themajor provider of live media streams, and media on demand.
