Israel Montgomery-Akinsanya

Born in Lamco, Buchanan, Grand Bassa in 1969, Israel Montgomery-Akinsanya shot to fame as the robust and erudite chairman of the opposition Liberty Party, a position he served in from 2005-2011. Regarded as an architect of the Party’s forward-thinking and reformist policies, he is considered one of the rising stars in the post war political landscape of Liberia. He is respected for his incisive analysis on national issues. His willingness to provide alternative solutions to national quandaries catapulted him to national prominence and cemented his position as a patriotic and progressive politician. He led the party to vital by-elections victories and also featured heavily in collaborations with other political parties
