These are the plans the U.S. federal government created to save itself in the event of a nuclear war or some other \"national emergency.\" After a three-year investigation and drawing on official government documents, many obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, Brian Tuohy discovered that an event that isn\'t a true ‘national emergency’ could easily turn into something worse. Should the wrong president encounter the right circumstances, the slippery slope of regulations and laws the federal government already has in place could alter the very fabric of the United States leading from civil unrest to martial law to a legal coup.

Brian Tuohy is best known as the author of The Fix Is In: The Showbiz Manipulations of the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NASCAR which was published by Feral House in 2010. The book gained national (and international) attention as it was reviewed by the Wall Street Journal, the nationally syndicated The Bookworm Sez, The Independent in the United Kingdom, and Milwaukee\'s The Shepherd Express among others.

Tuohy also conducted over 100 interviews on radio stations across the United States and Canada promoting the book. He appeared on Coast to Coast AM with Ian Punnett six times, the Alex Jones Show, the nationally syndicated Steve Czaban Show on Sporting News Radio, Fox Sports Radio Chris Myers Interviews, and several Siriux XM satellite radio programs besides other local & internet programs from sea to shining sea.
