Bob has worked more than 2,000 games for each the White Sox and Chicago Bulls (and has worked as scorekeeper for other teams, including the Bears, Blackhawks and soccer’s Fire and Sting) chats about a career that began more than 50 years ago. An amazing guy with some amazing stories.

Sports and Torts: Payal Patel and the Chicago Soul FC

Payal is a Marquette graduate, and has worked in radio and television in Milwaukee. But she\'s not here to talk about herself (which I think we just did). She\'s here to tell us about the newest sports franchise in Chicago - the Soul FC of the indoor soccer league.

Guest(s) Appearing on this Episode

Bob Rosenberg

Bob Rosenberg is the longtime official scorer for the Chicago Bulls, who received a surprise cake in his face during a game Nov. 6, 2012, in honor of working his
2,000th contest for the team. In the history of the franchise, he has missed only
two home games -- and that occurred in 2000 when he went to Japan to be official
scorer for the Chicago Cubs-New York Mets series in Tokyo. Bob also has been
official scorer for more than 2,000 Chicago White Sox games. If there is a Hall of
Fame for official scorers, Bob has to be a charter member. He also has worked at
Chicago Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs games -- among several other teams. He has seen
just about everything and everyone on the Chicago sports scene in the last 50 years
and has remarkable recollection of it all.

Payal Patel

Payal is the executive director of media and public relations for the Chicago Soul
FC, the new Major Indoor Soccer League team that has its home debut Dec. 7 at the
Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates. A Marquette grad, Payal worked in radio and
television in Milwaukee. Payal also is founder and president of Future All-Stars, a
youth-based non-profit organization launched in 2008. The organization was developed
to help connect at-risk youth to professional and collegiate athletes through an
athletic and academic mentoring program to help youngsters overcome adversity and
help bridge the gap between them and their dreams
