Steven D. Hill, MBA – CISSP (#25223) – is 2008 President and past President (2004) of the Motor City ISSA (Information Systems Security Association), which he says has been his “night job” for the past several years. By day- Steve works at Symantec Corporation, where he has held several positions over the past 7 years ranging from Manager of Intrusion Protection Systems (North America) to his current assignment as the Sr. Territory Account Manager in the Great Lakes Region. Prior to coming to Symantec Steve was the Central Region Sales Director at Recourse Technologies, Regional Vice President at Computer Associates, and VP of Worldwide Channel Sales for Citadel Security Software, Inc (now McAfee). Steve has also been called a serial entrepreneur with six “startups” under his belt ranging from forest product distribution, to software development, and marketing services firms. Steve holds an MBA – Information Assurance from Walsh College (NSA Center of Academic Excellence) and Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration- summa cum laude- from Colorado Technical University. Steve’s bent for a technical challenge started when he entered the Nuclear Engineering Program of the US Navy right out of high school, but he is involved in “less nerdy” things like Judo (3rd degree black belt), Aviation (Commercial Pilot), and golf where he confesses to being “no Tiger Woods,” but states that he has played at least one round in each of the 50 US States. His wife Shelley and their six children will all chime in here with… “Please don’t ask what dad’s going to do next!”
