Chester \"Chet\" Lauck and Norris \'Tuffy\" Goff were the creators, actors, writers, sound effects men, directors, and the life of Lum & Abner for nearly 25 years. Chet Lauck portrayed Lum, Grandpappy Spears, and Cedric Wehunt. Tuffy Goff was Abner, Squire Skimp, Mousey Grey, Dick Huddleston, and most of the other characters developed over the years. Today\'s show was originally broadcast on 7/7/1943.
