Tareq Salahi

Tareq Salahi is Team Captain & Chairman, Of America\'s Polo Cup. The son of a Jerusalem native that immigrated to the United States, to later found Oasis Winery in 1977, Salahi was born in Washington, D.C. and raised at the vineyard in Hume, Virginia. There, he nurtured a love for horses and riding, saddling up for the first time at the age of eight and strapping on his first polo helmet at sixteen. He attended high school at nearby Randolph-Macon Academy, a military academy where Salahi developed his leadership skills. He furthered his knowledge of wine at the University of California at Davis where he studied oenology and viticulture while playing on the school\'s National Championship polo team. Later, Salahi played at the Potomac Polo Club, run by the Muldoon Family, and at the Great Meadow Polo Club in Virginia. Salahi has been honored to play against Prince Charles, his son Prince Harry and other top players in the U.S. and internationally. Under his stewardship, Oasis Winery, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia has become what Wine Enthusiast hails as one of the Top 10 Wineries in the World. In addition, he and his wife of three years, Michaele, are devoted to the survival and growth of the Virginia wine industry, Virginia tourism and agri-tourism.

Tiffany Wilms

Tiffany Wilms is the tour & marketing coordinator for the Tourism Council of Frederick County. For 10 years, Wilms owned and operated a successful horse-drawn-carriage business, creating special memories for many people. One of her proudest accomplishments, though, is being a parent. In addition, giving back to the community through volunteer work has been rewarding not only because it has helped her develop personal and professional relationships, but also because it has allowed her to serve those less fortunate.
